Santosh Kumar Gupta, the owner of Buxar’s Amrit Mishthan Bhandar, said that taking care of the taste of the people, he has been making Sonpapdi in Buxar for 50 years. Now this sweet has climbed on the tongue of the people. Told that initially his grandfather used to make this sweet. Then father and now he makes Sonpapdi. The third generation is making Sonpapdi, but the taste is the same as it is 50 years old.

Sonpapdi with pure ghee tastes wonderful
The taste of Sonpapri made in Buxar not only attracts the people of Bihar but also the neighboring states of UP and Jharkhand. Told that Sonpapdi here goes to Delhi by trains. This sweet is easily available at every shop in the city. In Buxar Sonpapdi is made of three flavours. Most of the people like the simple and cardamom flavor. On the other hand, Sonpapdi made of pure ghee is demanded more on festivals. Keeping in view the taste of the people, Sonpapdi is always made here.

Also prepare on demand
Shopkeeper Santosh Gupta told that the lowest rate Sonpapdi is available at Rs 160 per kg. Then Rs 240 per kg, while slightly more expensive and quality Sonpapdi is available for Rs 360 per kg. Told that light sugar is used along with pure ghee and gram flour to make 360 ​​Sonpapadi. Told that it takes two days to make Sonpapdi. 10 kg of Sonpapdi is prepared at one go. Told that Sonpapdi is also prepared in different flavors on the demand of the customers.
